1903 Dante by Edmund G Gardner M.A.

Printed in 1903, this biography of Dante was written by Edmund G. Gardner. Bound in Vellum and hand painted in the Florentine style to pay homage to the original books by Dante.

This unique and rare book is possibly the only one of its kind, and was likely produced for the Grand Tourist at the start of the 20th century. The leather straps have worn off with age, and the pages show some water damage. The pages feature small illustrations that lend themselves to the story within.
